The Never Ending Winter

Here we are on the third day of spring, I was so hoping by now I would be wearing capri pants, flip flops, be able to open the windows in the house letting spring breezes blow thru as I did the not so fun, but refreshing chores of spring cleaning.  But am I? NO. I am SO SO far from that. My weatherbug says it is 39 outside right now and I think that might be the highest its been in the last two days. It seems we have had a wintery mix forecast every week for the last three months. It never amounts to much, just enough to cause schools to close, and the roads to be yucky for half the day. The only major snow we have had was on Trevor's birthday. Now, they are calling for another one this Sunday into Monday.  So it seems like we are stuck in the winter-is-never-ending cycle. Hopefully by June, we will be soaking in the sunshine.

Basketball season ended in February. Trevor had a really good season and they finished their season with a victory. I did the team pictures this year, can't believe how much he is starting to look like a teenager. It makes my heart hurt.

We just did baseball sign-ups, so that will be starting in the next couple of weeks probably, as long as the snow stays away.  Bradley just finished JumpStart which is our kindergarten orientation program. He LOVED it and is so excited about going to the same school as Trevor. I am so glad that Trevor will be there for that too. They are talking about passing each other in the hallway and things like that, Trevor continues to be an awesome big brother to him and I think he is anxious to show him the ropes of elementary school.
