They watched a movie later that night.
The next morning, Wes took them to the local park here to ride their scooters and they really enjoyed that. Shortly after returning home, Cody left. The rest of that weekend was pretty low key.Trevor's birthday was on a Thursday this year. I took half day off from work and the following Friday to spend with him. They were also calling for a pretty big snow storm that afternoon, so Trevor ended up getting out of school early and my work also closed for half the day. So it was pretty exciting as we got home and prepared to be snowed in for a bit. Daddy was able to get home early too, shortly after we let him open his gift from us. I loved these pictures with the snow coming down behind them.
(and yes they are wearing shorts and tank tops. They call these their "comfy" clothes and majority of the time this is what they are wearing at home. )
He got a new blu-ray player to go in his room with his new TV. He was pretty excited about that. I fixed his favorite meal for dinner, spaghetti. (Or pasketti as he used to call it and we tease him about) Then we had more cupcakes after dinner.
He got this robe for Christmas and this is his look most of the time now. He loves it and I guess we need to start calling him Mr. G-Q or something.
Here are pictures of the snow falling that afternoon. It accumulated very quickly.
Here is Wes on the four-wheeler scraping the driveway so it wouldn't get out of control.
We woke the next morning to a winter wonderland. Schools were closed and it was so nice to just be home. I love the way these pictures turned out, and I think I might frame them and put them in our hallway.
As soon as the sun came out, the boys were eager to get outside for some snow fun.
Dadddy was able to get home early again, and he joined in on the fun as well. They rode sleds, and built a snowman which all contributed. Wes built the bottom, Trevor did the middle and Bradley did the head.
I thought he was so cute!
The rest of that weekend there were lots more snow playing excursions, and the snow stuck around for a while because it didn't get out of the 20's for the next week! Instead of swimming and pool parties, Trevor gets snow storms for his birthday, but I don't think he minds one bit!
