TEN Years Old!!!

Our sweet boy is 10 years old today!

I cannot believe you are 10 Trevor! I can remember the morning of your birth like it was yesterday. It was snowing really hard, I had woken up around 5:30 that morning with contractions, which continued to get stronger pretty quickly. Your daddy was hanging out trying to decide on what to do about going to work based on the snow falling, but soon you made up his mind for him! We were at the hospital by 6:30 that morning.

I could have choked your daddy for taking this picture at the time, but now I wouldn't trade it for anything! I am so glad I have a memory of that day to look at. That day turned into one of the longest days of my life, lots of pain, epidurals not working, vomiting, both mine and your oxygen levels dropping, which all eventually led to a c-section late that night. Finally at 11:15 pm, I heard the most wonderful sound in the world, your cry.

Needless to say, I was exhausted and felt like I had been hit by a truck. Your daddy knew that one of my biggest fears of having a c-section was not being one of the first to see and hold you. Of course at the time, our health was the main concern.  I can remember them wheeling me back into our room from recovery and seeing your daddy sitting there holding you in his arms being face to face with you talking to you about me.  He put you in my arms, and we had the sweetest moments being together for the first time as a family of 3.

Our lives were forever changed that day sweet boy. You have been pure joy to us. You are funny, sweet, tenderhearted, and very athletic. You love Jesus and being at church. You have a heart for doing what's right all the time, and have very strong convictions of things that are wrong. I can't wait to see what the Lord has for you in the future. Happy 10th Birthday Trevor, we love you a great big bunch a whole LOT!!
