Frozen Easter Eggs & Planets

Well, before the snow hit, Wes took us on a family outing to Home Depot Saturday morning. To our surprise when we got there, they were having all kinds of Easter activities going on. The boys got cookies and lemonade and then outside they got there just in time for an Easter egg hunt. It wasn't too cold out that morning, so they were ready to go. There were hay bales set up in the parking lot and potted plants and bushes, there were eggs hidden all in them.

The boys enjoyed it and then got a goodie bag and a Caprisun to go. The rest of the day was spent at home where I got to do laundry and all those fun things. Later that evening, Wes stayed home with the boys and I went with our church to the McKamey's concert in Hillsville. We took our bus and we had such a good time. I really enjoyed some time for myself and had a great time of fellowship with dear friends. I didn't get home until midnight that night, and found both of the boys asleep in our bed with Daddy. They had a good time too from what I hear.

Sunday morning we woke up to the dreaded white stuff. By the time we got home from church it was coming down pretty good and our evening service was cancelled. We had about 3-4 inches I think. Not having church that evening gave Trevor and I more time to work on his solar system project. This thing was tedious and took lots of time. We made homemade clay to make the planets with, hung them with fishing line and sinkers, painted the box, labeled them all, and we were finally finished. Wes even pitched in a few times. I hope our family gets an 'A'!

Today is the boy's last day of school and they are on Easter break. I will be off on Friday and Monday with them for a nice break as well. There is sure to be lots of Easter eggs hidden and found, lots of candy and good food to eat, but most of all the celebration of our Lord Jesus and His Resurrection!!

"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:6
