Baseball All-Stars

We were in for a surprise when Trevor was chosen as one the 12 players to represent Montgomery County in the All-Stars baseball tournament.  After the team won the District championship, we were headed to South Boston for the State tournament.  We had practice, practice, and more practice. We packed, took time off work, stayed in hotels, drove back and forth, sat and watched game after game, cheering our guys on.   In the end, we came in 3rd place in the State, and that wasn't too shabby.

The first night was the opening ceremonies and they introduced all of the teams.

Here are our boys all dressed up and looking sharp.
I thought this pic was really cute.

One day, we had a lot of free time, so we rode up to the lake and did some fishing.

On Monday, Wes had to go back to work and the tournament was still going on. So Trevor and I made the trip back and forth a couple of times.  He got some needed rest.

The last game in which we lost and was our exit out of the tournament.  All of the boys got a neat backpack with a lot of neat souvenir type trinkets and things.

One last picture before heading home.
It will be an experience that Trevor will always remember.  It was neat that they went so far. We will remember it too, but after all the traveling, packing, unpacking, laundry, more laundry, and traveling, and traveling, there is a big part of me screaming to not see another baseball for 10 years.
