General Robert E Lee and Leonardo the Ninja Turtle
Trevor is really liking middle school, the independence, and they just started back in their brand new building after the Christmas break. He chose not to play basketball this winter, it has been a nice break from extra-curricular activities. Trevor is growing up in front of our eyes. He is about 6 inches away from being taller than his mom, in mostly men's sizes, particularly a size 8.5 SHOE!! His voice is getting deeper by the day and our little boy is turning into a teen. Sad, but at the same time I so enjoy being around him. He is still a sweety, tender hearted, and don't tell anyone, but he still cuddles with me on the couch and I am soaking in every moment of that I get. It's fun seeing life through his eyes and seeing his relationship with the Lord deepen makes my heart so happy. He will turn 12 next week! Only one year left before I am the mom of a teenage boy. Yikes!
Band Concert in December- he plays the trumpet and pretty well!
Bradley is having a ball in first grade with Mrs. Greene. He is reading up a storm, loves literacy lab, and loves every aspect of school. He is also growing like crazy, he is up to 50 pounds now, getting taller every day. He is still very smart and academically inclined. He is our ball of fire and there is never a dull moment with Bradley around. He loves to talk. He loves to talk. He loves to talk! He is always thinking and comes up with the most interesting questions and comments. He is a sweety, and completes our family in such a lively way.
He celebrated his 7th birthday on Thanksgiving day. Well, I should use the term celebrated very loosely. He woke up vomiting, and kept that stomach bug all day long. He was miserable. We had planned celebrating his birthday on thanksgiving day while all of the family was at out house. He had lots of love from family members, and lots of TLC, which he needed. He perked up long enough to open some gifts, and blow out the candles on his cake, but then was back on the couch.
Wes and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary in September.
I have recently realized I need glasses all of the time now. It has been hard on me and I had a hard time accepting it, but its getting easier. I've realized I'm thankful God has given man the ability to make glasses to help those who need them, I can still see all the beauty in this world and for that I am thankful.
I don't have many pictures from Christmas this year and I am sad, but I was just in the moment I guess. We had a wonderful season!
I don't remember if I wrote about this before, but back in May of 2014, Pastor Otey resigned as Pastor of our beloved church. It was a tragic blow and we were all devastated. But God kept our church family close, we had a wonderful interim Pastor, and 8 months to the day later, we had our new Pastor, Dennis Mann. Not even a week in, and we are in awe at how good God is and how much He has shown up, and ecstatic to see the direction Pastor Mann is leading us. We had 125 people on Sunday, 1 saved, 4 baptized, and 8 new visitor cards of people that visited. So so exciting!
