I love having a special day set aside to count our blessings and give thanks and praise to the Lord Jesus. Even though this world keeps getting more evil by the day it seems, the economy is not so great, we still have SO much to be thankful and hopeful for.
I am thankful for:
1- My Saviour-Jesus Christ, that God loved me so much that He sent His only Son to die for little old me.
2- The Holy Spirit that dwells in me and utters prayers on my behalf when I fail to myself.
3- God's grace that renews every morning. I know whatever I face in a day, God has given me the grace to get through it, if I just rely on Him!
4- My soulmate, Wes. He is a wonderful, loving husband and I am so glad we get to share life together.
5- Our two beautiful boys, they bring us so much joy every day and I'm amazed that they are ours.
6- My parents and Wes' parents. They provide us with so much love and are always there for us.
7- My sister and my brother-in-law, she is a constant support to me and I am so glad to have her in my life and I am grateful that she has someone to share life, that loves her with all his heart.
8- Our church, our pastor and his family, and our church family is so dear to us. We have the sweetest fellowship with them all and love them so much.
Those are the top blessings in my life and I could go on and on and on, but I will stop there.
I love the holiday season and its very hard with all of the commercialism of Christmas to not just skip right over Thanksgiving. It really irritates me that a lot of stores are starting their black Friday sales today, on Thanksgiving day, which means their employees have to leave their families and go to work so that their company can make a few more dollars than another, on Thanksgiving day! That is just not right. Wes actually predicted this happening a few years ago and I was so hoping he wouldn't be right. They can't commercialize Thanksgiving and being thankful to the Lord, so they are just trying to skip it all together.
"Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. " James 1:17
Thanking God today for all of the good and perfect gifts in my life!!
