Doctors and More Pool Fun

Bradley had to have his 4 year check-up this week. Yes, I do know that his birthday is in November and he is closer to 5 than he is 4. But in my defense his birthday timing is a not a real pleasant time to be in a dr's office when you are well. There are always so many kids sniffling, sneezing, vomiting, etc, during the winter months that it seems it is always spring-summer before I get their check-ups in. He also spent quite a few sick visits there himself this winter so I wasn't about to take him when he was well.

But anywho, we went. I knew that he would be getting several shots, and I cringed every time I thought of it the week prior. I think it is awful that they put moms through that! We talked about it on the way because I didn't want him to be surprised and not ready for it. He has a very high pain tolerance, but he doesn't like surprises at the dr.'s office, that upsets him more than the pain. His check up went great, he weighed 40 pounds and was 3'6" tall. That puts him in the 75% for his height and 50% for his weight, so he is doing great! The shots about ripped my heart out, but he was fine by the time we left.

After all that torture we decided we all needed a breather, so I picked Trevor up and daddy met us at the pool. Weekday afternoons at the pool are just great because there is hardly anyone there! We about had the pool to ourselves so I snapped some pics of the boys playing with daddy.

As you can see Trevor was full of himself! He wanted a picture of his splash again, so I obliged.

Bradley wasn't as active as he normally is, but he had a good time nonetheless. We hope to get several more late evenings in at the pool before it closes for the summer. We have really enjoyed our time there this summer.
