Christmas 2013

Christmas was a joyous time with our family. We went to E & Epaws on Christmas eve. E had some great food prepared for us. After we ate and had kept the boys waiting as long as possible, Epaw played a trick on the boys by giving them a bag of coal for their first present. It was so funny seeing their expressions!

Then the real gift opening began, and a mess of paper ensued.

My sweet family

Wes and I got busy playing Santa after we got home and got the boys in bed. There was some assembly required this year and we were up a little late.

Their surprise gift this year was a basketball game down in the basement. We tied a string to it and had it leading all the way upstairs, so they followed the ribbon that led them to it. It was a huge hit and they have been playing it a lot (as well as some adults around here).

Nonny, PawPaw, Jenna, and Drew came up around lunchtime for our Christmas celebration. My camera died after I took this picture, so this is the only one I got!
Nonny and I fried oysters as we normally do. We had ham, meatballs, oysters, pea salad and all kinds of good food. There was more gift unwrapping and a sea of paper. We had a great time with my family and I am so thankful for all of them.

Christmas 2013 was yet again a wonderful time. The boys and I have had lots of time at home since, still opening toys and trying to organize everything. Now getting in New Years mode!
