Our first family camping trip was a huge success. We all had a wonderful time. I was a little concerned how I would do out in nature for that long but I think I faired pretty well and can't wait to go back again. We are already wanting to plan a lot more trips.
Here was our home away from home:
I researched and had several camp fire recipes to try out and all of them were very good. The favorite being a dish called "cowboy casserole" that I fixed in the dutch oven. I really enjoyed fixing meals and maintaining our "home" while there.
Trevor had a blast riding his bike around the campground. Here he is one time zooming past us. He made a buddy while we were there and it helped him a lot having someone to ride with.
Bradley had an absolute ball as well. Dirt seems to call his name and he was in heaven. Here he is after a full day of fun.
This was our first time taking Runtley on a trip with us and he did great! He had a great time too! He found sticks to chew on.
and sat around patiently waiting on our next excursion
The beautiful views:
The atmosphere of camping is so relaxing and laid back. I really enjoyed not having to fix myself up before we went anywhere, you just go! We will certainly be making more of these trips!
